Brandie J. Bartlett is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist practicing in Virginia and Washington, DC.
Dr. Bartlett conducts broad developmental, psychological, and psychoeducational assessments with children (as young as age 2), adolescents, and adults. Dr. Bartlett is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of clinical concerns, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities, mood disorders, and anxiety. Dr. Bartlett also offers forensic evaluation services in legal matters related to family law, criminal law, and immigration matters.
Dr. Bartlett relies on multiple sources of information, such as tests of personality and behavior, tests of ability or intelligence, as well as personal and collateral interviews.
Typically, these assessments provide diagnostic clarification, evaluate particular areas of functioning or disability for school or employment settings, and provide recommendations for individuals and their families with regard to accommodations, compensation strategies, and treatment.

Evaluations for diagnostic clarification around questions of ADHD, ASD, and other conditions
Educational evaluations to document disabilities that require academic accommodations, or to document cognitive and educational giftedness, for the purpose of identifying appropriate educational placements
Cognitive and memory testing to establish baseline or later functioning in cases of dementia or other cognitive decline
Pre-surgical evaluations for weight loss surgery
Parental fitness, employment and immigration, and adoption evaluations
Forensic evaluations in criminal matters, including Competency to Stand Trial, Mental Status at the Time of the Offense, and pre-resentencing mitigation
Forensic evaluations in civil matters, including guardianship and personal injury matters
After graduating from the University of South Florida, Dr. Bartlett completed her doctoral studies at the American School of Professional Psychology in 2007. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient community mental health, juvenile detention, and private practice.
